Today's Shamelessness

One of my favorite TV shows is Shameless on Showtime. But the dysfunctional Gallagher family never approaches these heights of shamelessness:

• A federal judge sends an e-mail implying that Obama's mother had sex with a dog. 
• A priest refuses to allow a woman to take communion at her mother's funeral because she's a lesbian.
• Rush Limbaugh says ... oh, never mind. That Rush Limbaugh exists is shameless enough.
